I'm thinking something along the lines of lab/terrier/collie mix. I don't think I can see anything that resembles a duck toller but there's definitely something that has a coarser hair with a mustache in there.

A collies hair would be the same texture as a retreiver; but its hard to see the texture in that photo.

Definitely. I think that's where the terrier comes in. It's too bad we don't have more pictures to look at. I love "breed puzzles".

My girl GeeGee was a guessing game. We knew mom was a Pyr, but dad?? Well, I think till about a year ago we all figured dad must have been a golden (right Lianne?) Well, for a while now we were thinking maybe collie instead. This summer putting her beside a collie it was really obvious. I think we have to remember that dad may have been a cross. And mom, even if she looked like a pure bred may have had something else as well. Oh well, she will always be a "Golden Pyreneese" to us.
