Introducing Bailey
Well here is our second dog, Bailey. Most people recognize the black newfie (Newfoundland dog) but there are also brown ones, and the markings like this is the Landseer. In Canada and the US its a type of Newfie, in Europe its a bit smaller, and their own breed.
They came about by crossing a Black Newfie, and a Great Pyreneese. Bailey is actually a Cdn. Landseer X Great Pyr, so a bit more like the European Landseer. So she is a bit smaller (130 lbs) and has tighter flukes, which means less drooling! We plan to breed her in the spring to a European Great Pyr, which should produce a smaller, tighter dog with less hip problems than traditional.
Bailey is the sweetest. When she is in an uncomfortable situation (like having kittens climbing on her) she gets up and leaves the room. She is my "work horse" -- she pulls kids on a toboggan, pulls the same toboggan with hay on it to do chores and I am after my hubby to build a cart to have her give rides in the summer as well; she is a big baby, but such a lovable girl nobody can be scared of a giant breed like her!
Hey, take note admin people I have mastered the art of posting photos -- we are in trouble now!

What a beautiful dog!
Love the background on the breed and the idea of a wagon is great!
My wife and I go roller blading with andy several times a week. Since we purchased a proper harness she now pulls me for blocks. I think its sweet how she knows to stop at intersections already.... And its much easier for us now, not to mention a tired puppy is a good puppy!

Re: Introducing Bailey
rollerblading would be fun. Bailey would go about a half block and want to be carried home, but GeeGee would enjoy that. I'm too much of a clutz though.
Have you heard of scootering? Thats something I would try with GeeGee sometime. It looks fun! on well, another to ad to the bucket list
