looking for a dog club

When we lived in Regina we were members of the Wascana Dog Club. You paid a yearly membership fee, did volenteer work and after a year or two cost of classess was 50%, and free after a while. I don't remember exactly. So I took obedience & agility and had a great time. We also had some fun rallys, parties at halloween and Xmas, both for the dogs and just people parties.

Does anyone know about similar prices for the clubs here? I don't want to pay $80 for eight lessons over and over again; and we had a blast being on the board and assisting with classes etc.

I have looked for something like this with no luck. Maybe this will help get one started!

I just joined your forum. I belong to Saskatchewan Agility Association. It is a non profit club that focuses on agility. You take a couple of classes and then you can join as a member. Members volunteer for putting on trials, demo and helping with classes. Then you can get you classes at half price and some members practice time. We quite often get together to practice as a group and share tips and stories. I really enjoy the club and the people I have met there.

Diamonds in the ruff flyball works pretty similar too- do some classes and then join the club. we host a tourny each year (Next weekend at the Soccer Center in Lawson)
